Devoting as many five nights a week to the direction, choreography and general production of this year's Driftwood Players musical, "Take Me Along," are Marie and Robert Hannan, talented man-and-wife team, who drive 25 miles from Raymond for each rehearsal.
The Hannans are combining their many creative resources to assemble an exciting show with a cast of 42, including three children.
Hannan, a Raymond attorney, is a graduate of the University of Washington. He has long been connected with little theater activities in both acting and directing capacities. He was one of the organizers of the Willapa Players in Raymond and directed "The Tender Trap," "The Gazebo" and "Dangerous Corner."
Mrs. Hannan is well-known here as she has been a dance instructor in this area for many years and is director of the Aberdeen Ballet Academy. She received her training at the Cornish School in Seattle and the San Francisco Opera Ballet School. She was a drama major at the University of Washington where she did all the choreography for the school shows. She has been choreographer for many local shows, including Civic Choir productions and the Driftwood production of "The Boy friend."
"Take Me Along" had a long, successful run on Broadway. It will open at the Driftwood Playhouse the last week in April.
